Day two (yes, just TWO days left to enter!) of our "Wild Tweep" Big Five countdown is pretty historic - today marking the end of Nelson Mandela’s 27 years of imprisonment, and his long walk to freedom in 1990. So what better time to get cracking on that entry form?
To mark the occasion here’s a nifty number from Simple Minds – the track written for the Free Nelson Mandela Concert held at Wembley in 1988. And, here’s a little bit of trivia for you! Did you know that the song reached number one in the UK in Feb 1989, as a B-Side to Belfast Child…
Anyway, back to the comp and quick reminder of what our three expert safari judges will be looking for from the Winning Wild Tweep:
PlanYourSafari.com “Original content, thinking out of the box, honesty and creativity.”
Travelcomments.com “A good mix of enthusiasm, passion and wanderlust...”
AfricaFreak “Three words could define what I’m looking for: originality (& creativity), sincerity (& fun, humoristic…) and knowledge (work put in, effort)”
Of course, if you’ve yet to travel to South Africa or if you just want to join in the buzz then you can always can log onto Twitter on the 26th of February (13.00 – 13.20 GMT) and quiz our winning Wild Tweep. RSVP on Facebook or Twtvite.
